Project:
Utilizing Cornell Notes with class lecture & demonstration of Adobe InDesign, the student will first create 2 abstract designs showing their use of each tool reviewed. Next the student will reproduce the fundraiser poster provided to them with concern for accuracy in both typography & measurement. Lastly the student will creatively design their own SkillsUSA poster as a Live Job to include all of the content provided, all to the criteria detailed in the PDF.

Joke Book Cover Jacket

Objective:
Using your learned competencies in Illustrator and Photoshop, design a cover your for joke book with flaps
Project:
Start by designing at least 3 thumbnails on an 11x17 folded paper -- after getting demo on the appropriate layout for a book jacket. Then move to the computer.
Create a 20x6 or a 16x8 artboard (depending on your joke book pages) - make sure you put Guides at the appropriate places for the covers and flaps
Your book jacket must include the cover info below, as well as an about the author section and an about the illustrator section -- the about the illustrator should be about YOU, you can source an about the author paragraph from anywhere of your choosing, but make sure it is appropriate for a children's book.

Remember this is to be done as a Double Page Spread with creative use of Adobe Illustrator for vectored illustrations, color application & strong use of typography.
