Self-Portrait

7th Rotation Homework Theme -Self-Portrait
In costume, make-up, wearing your favorite hat or object, remember this is about capturing YOU. Self portraits are about expressing who you are... whether its with the camera or in illustration form, remember to give everything thought & purpose. Think of your lighting - natural or in studio. Be aware of composition & directional - of your eyes, hands, props or even expression.
You should not just be taking 'selfies'! Be creative!
No matter if you are looking for the perfect reference for your sketchbook or for that perfect shot with the camera, keep the following in mind:
-
Think beyond the obvious & and be creative
-
Always be thoughtful of your composition
-
Is there a more unique view or lighting style?
-
Consider props or lighting to help set the mood or expression you are looking to capture
-
Photos and sketches should not be manipulated on the computer - capture creativity in what you see
