In this rotation, you will be photographing Nilla Wafers of your choice. Project: The key to a strong product shoot is PLANNING! Think about your product, props, color scheme, lighting, angle of the camera and the theme.  You will be responsible for coming up with a theme and headlines.  Think about your product, your space, your props, your color scheme, your lighting, your angle of the camera…

Remember your target audience is OPEN and up to you. This leaves your design OPEN for creativity!

You must have 'Golden Possibilities' planned somewhere on your Adv, as either a headline or secondary headline.

Remember you MAY NOT eat your product or you will have a ZERO!

For this rotation, you will be design 6 -9 different thumbnails with a variety of layouts, props, themes, etc.

Then you will pick the 2 strongest ideas to move forward to Roughs; roughs must indicate color and have the headline and subhead written out fully, along with indication of any body copy, logos, and call to actions.

In studio, you will photograph at least 3 shots for each rough, leaving room for your adv's layout and a slight variation of angles, room, and orientation.  Once you have photographed for your planned roughs, you will then take a variety of creative photos of your choice (3+), creatively choosing different backgrounds, lighting, prop placement, etc.

You will also photograph your clipping path from 3 distinct angles: left, right and center.

  • Remember you MAY NOT eat your product!

Plain Nilla Wafers on a plain plate or background is BORING!

You need an idea and props to make your product 'photo-worthy'
